READING DAY

Our school celebrated Reading day on 29th November. The slogan was D.E.A.R “Drop Everything And Read.” Students enthusiastically participated in the D. E. A. R activity.
Students took the reading pledge. On this occasion a skit was presented by students on the importance of reading. Students also took part in “Bookathon” competition which was held in the school library from 25th Nov -29th Nov. A quiz was conducted for classes IX -X.
Student , teachers, office staff as well as house keeping staff took part in the activity and enjoyed reading their favorite books.

Self Defense Workshop

A self defense session was organized in SR DAV Public school in collaboration with the Special Police Unit for Women and Children, Delhi Police. The purpose was to educate and train students about various self defense techniques. A team of four trainers headed by ASI Kamlesh Bangari conducted the workshop. Around 200 students participated in this event.

 The workshop was followed by an interactive session where student queries were answered by the visiting team. It was a very informative event for the students.

We are happy to announce that National Reading Day is being celebrated in our school on 30th November, during 3rd period.

Slogan for this event is-

“ONE NATION READING TOGETHER ’’

 

  1. All students, teachers and members of the staff should participate in this event. It will be held in the 3rd period i.e. 9.35 to 10.10 am.
  2.  All students from classes VI to XII will carry a book of their choice for reading            
  3. There will be a pledge and then 30 mins of reading.
